Yesterday we have started a countdown to the show: daily posts are taking you through the (first) ten years of history of this awesome band, sampled by Dr. Dre and Jay-Z, on stage worldwide with the likes of Roy Ayers, Muse, Sun Ra Arkestra, Sharon Jones, Thundercat, Headhunters and as unique musicians with, amongst others, PJ Harvey, Mike Patton, John Parish, Stewart Copeland and Nic Cester (The Jet).
After their first record and the successful Italian and European tour, in 2009 Calibro 35 already made it for the first time to the USA too, playing at HitWeek Festival in Los Angeles and at Nublu and Zebulon clubs in New York City. The last one has been released digitally in 2016 as a bonus of CLBR35 live from S.P.A.C.E..
The band also appeared on the renowned Jason Bentley’s Morning Becomes Eclectic show on KCRW (here the whole broadcast), and went back to the US the following year to play CMJ festival in NYC.
We are happy to take them back to Luxembourg, this Saturday: the line-up of the night includes one of the most interesting new acts of Luxembourg, afro post-punk quartet No Metal in this Battle, and two support DJs, KustonBeater & LeGenco.
Come enjoy this great night of music, at Rotondes, on Saturday, May 19th: here the FB event, pre-sales are online here!!
