As announced, ten years after their very first concert, tomorrow we'll take back to Luxembourg Italian super cult combo CALIBRO 35!!
This week we have done a countdown to the show: daily posts have taken you through the (first) ten years of history of this awesome band.
The last post is obviously dedicated to their penultimate album, published in November 2015 and titled S.P.A.C.E.. Recorded on tape on a 8 tracks tape recorder at the analog Mecca Toe Rag Studios in London, the worldwide famous studio where The White Stripes penned Elephant, S.P.A.C.E. takes Calibro 35 to a new dimension. Forget about gripping noir atmospheres of their previous full lengths, with this album the band escapes from planet earth and lands on their own satellite to write the perfect funk soundtrack of an imaginary SciFi movie directed by Sergio Leone, sounding as explosive, cinematic and groovy as ever.
The album was followed by a long and successful tour, and the natural consequence was the release of their first live records, CLBR35 live from S.P.A.C.E., published in October 2016.
We are happy to take them back to Luxembourg, tomorrow: the line-up of the night includes one of the most interesting new acts of Luxembourg, afro post-punk quartet No Metal in this Battle, and two support DJs, KustonBeater & LeGenco.
Come enjoy this great night of music, at Rotondes, on Saturday, May 19th: here the FB event, pre-sales are online here!!
